Dear Mr. Potter,

As the summer begins winding down toward autumn, there is no doubt a question burning in everyone's minds; Will Hogwarts open for the upcoming term? The answer is yes! Despite some major changes to the curriculum and general rule structure, Hogwarts will remain open, circumstance-permitting, for the entire school year.

All classes will be centered around how to protect and defend yourself and others from Dark Forces. Classes will be held Monday through Friday, and students will have the option of going home on weekends. All students will take the same classes; there will be no electives.

The famous four Houses of Hogwarts have been temporarily abolished. This is to prevent bias toward certain Houses, House rivalries, and the centuries old myth that a certain house only turns out evil witches and wizards. Every student is equal; descrimnation will NOT be tolerated.

Term will start on September 1st, and students are to report to the Great Hall immediately upon arrival. I look forward to seeing all of you soon.

Sincerely,
Headmistress Minerva McGonagall

PS: Harry, I sincerely hope you'll reconsider your leaving Hogwarts. I had hoped you would assist some of the students, as they looked to you for help in your fifth year. However, I know you to be quite set in your ways, and will not judge you, no matter what your decision. We will, however, be in close contact, Hogwarts or not.
